THE ARTIST: February, Week 4

Interesting challenge. "Deux" is my offering in a style reminiscent of a popular high-style cartoon of (I think) the late 1920's thru mid 1930's. Don't have the name of the original artist. Mine isn't as slick as the originals. Looking forward to seeing what shows up this time.

I definitely recognizer the style you are talking about! I really love the poses, simplicity, and overall feeling of this piece. One of my favorites of yours so far!

Thanks. Still can't find the originating artist who's work I'm emulating here. For me the humor of this piece lies in the juxtaposition of obvious skill and intent of the female partner---posture and ball lead---compared to the less skilled posture and heel lead of the male lead.

Ha, I am glad you explained this, because with my lack of knowledge in any kind of organized dancing, I definitely missed this detail. I love it!

Only idiots like me would try to 'splain it.
